Recently I was asked to do web maintenance for Cathedral Oaks Athletic Club. I was asked based on my past work for other businesses; my reliability, responsiveness and quality of work. This is nice validation of my business ethics and abilities.

food tracking

Spark People is a site that I read about in the newspaper. The article was about tracking what you ate. This website offers a way to track what you eat. It has many foods already plugged into their system (peanut butter: 2 tsp, 100 grams, 1/2 cup…) and you can put your own info in for foods.

The site then calculates how many calories, protein, carbs, fat you’ve consumed for the day. Hmmm, I only have 200 calories left to eat for the day and it’s only 4:00!!

There are many other cool tools about fitness and goals. It’s free – advertiser supported so there are a lot of ads. It’s fun and helpful.

Face Recognition

myheritage.com/ offers a face recognition tool that compares you with celebrities. You get to see which celebritries you look most like. The site suggests that you upload more than one photo so you can see which people come up most. I ran a couple photos of me. Annette Benning and Lara Flynn Boyle were the most common matches. I could only wish I looked like them!

myspace.com is another amazing place. Another addicting site to suck up your time. You’ve got to be careful what you put up or someone might easily be able to stalk you!!
